Train Transfers To and From Milwaukee International Airport

When arriving at Milwaukee International Airport please collect your luggage before proceeding to transfer from the airport. Transfer options include rental cars, taxis, buses and Amtrak.

Amtrak at Milwaukee Airport

The Milwaukee Airport Rail Station is located along the western edge of the airport. A complimentary shuttle bus service connects the airport terminal and the Rail Station. Shuttles collect travelers outside Baggage Claim door #5 at the airport and outside the main entrance of the Milwaukee Airport Rail Station.

This rail station is serviced by Amtrak’s Hiawatha route that operates between Milwaukee Intermodal Station in downtown Milwaukee and Chicago’s Union Station with stops at MKE as well as in Sturtevant, WI and Glenview, IL.

The rail station is heated and has restrooms and seating areas.

The rail station does not only serve airport travelers, but also locals.

There are several daily routes going both directions.

The full route time is up to 90 minutes, but from the airport station to central Milwaukee the journey is only 15 minutes.

The price for a full one-way journey, Milwaukee-Chicago, is $25.
