There are several things that are useful to be aware of before departing from Milwaukee International Airport, including how to transfer there.

Parking at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport

Milwaukee Airport offers several options for parking. The Hourly parking is located on the third and fourth floors of the parking garage located opposite the terminal. Daily parking is found on all 6-floors of the same parking structure.

A Surface lot is located right behind, within walking distance from the terminal and a Savers Lot can be found slightly further away with complimentary shuttles for transfer to or from the terminal, this includes the Cell Phone Lot.

Valet parking is available through reservations.

Transfers at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport

Rental Cars – Car rental companies with counters at the airport are located on the ground floor of the parking structure located opposite the terminal. Off-airport car rental companies service travelers with complimentary shuttles between their location and the airport’s terminal. Buses – MCTS’ Green Line and Route 80 provides easy bus transfer from downtown Milwaukee as well as other Milwaukee locations. The bus stops in front of the terminal.

Coach and bus companies provide transfer from locations in the surrounding areas.

Hotel Shuttles – Some hotels arrange airport shuttles for their guests’ convenient transfer to the airport.

Ride Shares and Shuttles – Ride Share and shuttle transfers will drop their customers off in front of the terminal. These are arranged by the traveler through the company’s smartphone application or website.

Trains – A rail station serving Amtrak is located on the west side of the airport. Several departures per day connect the airport with not only downtown Milwaukee and the Intermodal Station, but also with downtown Chicago’s Union Station.

Smoking at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport

Smoking at the airport is only allowed in designated smoking areas outside of the terminal building. There is no smoking once through the security control.

WiFi at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport

The airport offers free WiFi through the network “Boingo Hotspot” through the viewing of an ad, but there are also options for a paid higher speed connection through registering at Boingo. The options available are $4.95 for one hour’s access at MKE, $7.95 for 24 hours of access or amonthly unlimited access through thousands of Boingo hotspots throughout the Americas for $9.95.

Accessibility at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport

If an individual is in need of a wheelchair or special assistance during their time at the airport it has to be requested through the airline in advance to avoid delays and inconvenience.

Furthermore, the airport offers disability-designated parking spaces, elevators and emergency exits with braille signage as well as diaper changing tables for adults in two restrooms.

International Arrivals at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport

International flights arriving at the airport will do so at the International Arrivals Terminal, except for Toronto flights.

Dining and Shopping at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport

The Main Terminal, Concourse C and Concourse D all offer a variety of locations to have a drink or something smaller to eat while waiting, although service may be limited at times.

There is also a small variety of shops in the same areas.

The airport has a complimentary lounge for active military duty military members. It is located in the Main Terminal.
