Bus Transfers To and From Milwaukee International Airport

When arriving at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA there are plenty of options for transferring from the airport, including rental cars, taxis and buses. Please remember to collect your luggage before exiting the Baggage Claim area.

Public Transportation Buses at Milwaukee Airport

Milwaukee County Transit System, MCTS, provides two separate routes for transferring from the airport, both connecting the airport with downtown as well as other locations.

The bus stop is located outside Exit 1 in the Baggage Claim area. An M-CARD bus pass vending machine and a real-time bus arrival map can be found near Carousel 1.

Green Line – This route operates between Bayshore Town Center and the airport including going through downtown Milwaukee along the way. Some points of connection along the way are UWM, Milwaukee’s east side, Walker’s Point and south side.

Buses depart the airport more or less 24/7 on weekdays, while there is a short gap of 3-4 hours approximately between 1.00 AM and 5.00 AM on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

Route 80 – This route connects downtown Milwaukee as well as the downtown MATC campus to the airport and the MATC-South Campus in Oak Tree.

Buses depart the airport beginning early mornings to around midnight all days of the week, including Holidays that are served as Sundays. Departures begin earlier on weekdays than on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

Coach Bus Services at Milwaukee Airport

Several coach or bus companies are offering their transfer services from Milwaukee Airport. The bus stop is located outside Exit 2, Baggage Claim.
