Accessibility at Milwaukee Airport

The airport has a variation of systems and facilities in place for persons with a disability. This includes parking spaces, braille signage in elevators and emergency exits, wheelchair accessibility in all restrooms, adult diaper changing tables in two restrooms.

Wheelchair or special assistance is requested through the airline and requires planning ahead to avoid delays and inconvenience at the airport. This is the responsibility of the traveler or their representative.

The airport has Mamava breastfeeding and lactation suites located in the Main Terminal as well as in Concourse C for traveling moms that want a clean, quiet place and a bit of privacy when breastfeeding or pumping. The suites have power and USB outlets, comfortable seating, a mirror and a fold-down shelf. There is also a nursing room available in Concourse D.

Children’s Play Areas can be found in several locations that include Concourse C and near the nursing room in Concourse D.

International Arrivals at Milwaukee Airport

All international flights, except for Toronto flights, arrive at the International Arrivals Terminal which is a separate terminal building located north of the parking garage. A small parking area for 10 cars is located in front of IAB, as it is called, for greeters collecting arriving international travelers. Free shuttles transfer travelers from IAB to the Main Terminal. Pick-up is outside the main doors of the International Arrivals Terminal.

Dining and Shopping at Milwaukee Airport

The airport has several options for having a drink or a coffee, or something to eat in the Main Terminal as well as in Concourses C and D, although due to the Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions and regulations service may be limited.

For shoppers there are several different shops available in the Main Terminal, open to all visitors, including a bookstore, a golf shop and a Summerfest Marketplace that offers news, gifts and much more. A few additional shops can be found in both Concourse C and Concourse D.

Transfers at Milwaukee Airport

Rental CarsRental car companies at Milwaukee Airport have their counters located in the parking garage, on the ground floor. Off-site rental car companies provide shuttles that depart from outside the parking garage, opposite Baggage Claim 5.

Buses – MCTS, Milwaukee County Transit System, provides bus routes between Milwaukee Airport and downtown Milwaukee as well as a few other locations in Milwaukee. A vending machine and a real time arrivals map can be found near Carousel 1 in the Baggage Claim area and the bus stop is located across the road opposite Door 1.

Several coach companies offer their services from the airport to a variation of locations in the surrounding areas. The bus stop is next to the MTCS bus stop.

Greyhound buses can be found in central Milwaukee at the Intermodal Station.

Ride Shares and Shuttles – Privately arranged transfers are most often arranged beforehand through the company’s app or website.

Trains – Amtrak’s Hiawatha route between Milwaukee and Chicago stops at Milwaukee Airport Rail Station that is located along the west side of the airport.
